Darrian Designs
These pages show my final year major project at Swansea Metropolitan University. The Darrian T Zero Nine
The
idea of this project was to create a brand expanding model for Darrian.
A market which would suit the Darrian brand values very well is
the 'Trackday' market so from the very begining this car designed with
purpose and performance in mind.
This
is one of the very early sketches of the project when the car was an
open top design. This style was later dropped in favour of a hard
top which was more fitting for a Darrian.
Here
the car has a hard top and a very Darrian like air intake at the side.
Also front and rear integrated aerofoils can be seen here.
Another feature that can be seen here are the exit vents in the rear light cluster. This is purely a styling idea.
This is the first side view render produced. This gives a very good idea of how the car would look painted.
This image shows how the front and rear bodywork hinges up to allow easy access to the engine and suspension.
Here is a rendered view of the car at home on a racetrack.
Here is a render of the final design. The front wing is clearly visible here and gives the car a unique look.
